Policy work for the new age of nuclear energy

Nuclear energy may well play an important role in a decarbonised world. The price/performance of the best nuclear generation equipment, that’s available worldwide, is increasingly interesting. In a sound price system, the decisions about whether to bet on nuclear should be made by private persons in India. But this requires an enabling policy framework. Writing in the Business Standard yesterday, Akshay Jaitly and I show the five elements of work for policy makers to set the stage for private decisions on using nuclear energy.
