Hours worked
N. Narayana Murthy suggested that young people should work for 70 hours a week. This does not sit well with notions of work/life balance that have become popular among the young.

Episode 19, 20 of Everything is everything
Episode 19, How to think about cricket (and life), 3 November. This is about using probabilistic reasoning to do better on strategy in cricket, the principal agent problem which creates a divergence between the objective of the team to win vs. the objective of a player to look good, and thoughts for how selectors can do better.
Episode 20, Our population is our greatest asset, 10 November. Is a high population or a high population density inimical to becoming an advanced economy or achieving high GDP growth? What shapes the decision of a household to have a child? How do we think about government coercion on fertility decisions of individuals? How should we change gears to reflect the fledgling evidence of a baby bust in India?
